I thought I would add this illustration to the Blog, so people who don't purchase the 200-Copy Limited Edition Print run of the First Edition will get a chance to see it.   It will be added to the page of that Special Edition along with all the original signatures of the creative team behind the book.   That is, Air Hawk creator John Dixon, Cover Artist Eddie Campbell, New Letterer and Cover Design Michal Dutkiewicz, and me of course...    I included it on that page as it quite nicely sums up the name of the book: John Dixon, Air Hawk and the Flying Doctor.

Here's a preview of the book's cover.   It's at the printers now, getting the proofs finalised to my liking.   I read an email this morning (sent yesterday) and am making a small amendment to the spine's text.   Really happy with the front cover (art by Eddie Campbell, original lettering was by John Dixon, modified for this volume by Michal Dutkiewicz).   I think it should be one that grabs the casual reader and says:
"HEY look at me!  
You remember me from the newpapers?  
Buy me!"
The idea, of course, is that I can become a full-time Australian comic-book publisher.   First of all, though, I need someone to start reading this Blog!   So, don't be shy, leave me a comment someone!

My New Blog!

I don't when I think I will get the time to write something here - Life is too busy at the best of times - but I can at least say I have now got a Blog to disseminate everything about John Dixon and/or Air Hawk for the world to read!   The idea is there, the willingness to do it is there; just finding the time is the difficulty!   But let's see how we go!   So, 'Welcome!' to everyone reading this first posting....
